by Slow Food East Bay
We're delighted to have local olive oil experts Roberta Klugman, Nancy Ash and Kathryn Tomajan as our fearless leaders for the afternoon. Between the three of them, they have milled & blended, imported, exported, tasted and judged olive oil the world over and it's a rare opportunity to have their wealth of knowledge all together in one room!. Trust us, this is sure to be an amazing learning experience and seats will surely sell out!
During the course of the afternoon, we will taste five oils paired with foods chosen to bring out the nuances of both the oil's and food's flavors. As we taste, we'll learn about growing and production methods, varietal differences and get recommendations on selecting, using and storing oils. In addition, they will address the fraud and mislabeling prevalent in the world of imported olive oils and what policies are being created to manage the problem. There will be plentiful time for questions.
Contact Slow Food East Bay for more information and to reserve your seat at the table, go to our Eventbrite event listing. Payment is via cash or check day of.
